The American Heart Association offers eLearning options that allow students to watch the video portions of class in the comfort of their own home on a device connected to the Internet. After reviewing these videos, students print a Certificate of Completion, demonstrating watching these videos, then students schedule a Skills Check.  At this appointment, students watch more videos, practice the Skills learned, then demonstrate the Skills they learned in front of an Instructor. After completing these steps, students will receive their Course Completion Card.
